Requirements for Undergoing PCA Training Classes


Usually, those applicants that will have to undergo the PCA training classes, even if it is an online one will need to have completed a GED (General Educational Development) or higher School Diploma program. They need to have had the current immunization record and must have got healthcare or CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) provider certification. The applicants must have obtained liability insurance before being allowing to undergo the proper PCA or HHA certification program.
Candidate for the HHA programs will also need to have passed some drug screening as well as tuberculosis tests. They are not expected to have some criminal records as their personal information will be checked on a regular basis during their normal PCA training classes.
Graduates of nursing and medical practitioners will have to meet some state requirements before they can be eligible to take the examination towards getting Home Care Aide (HCA) qualified. The HCA is offered via the National Association for Home Care and Hospice. This association is affiliated with Goodwill and MetLife of which any students that is recommended by either of them will have cost of his program reduced.
The duration for the PCA program is usually twelve months or less. Some of the Coursework include topics such as
1.       Medical terminology
2.       Emergency care
