Carbon Footprint And Its Harmful Effect
A carbon footprint means the emission of greenhouse gases. But the emission is calculated from homes of a particular area. From domestic homes, there is a lot of carbon dioxide emission, which is harmful to the environment. If regulations or certain measures are taken, then it can be reduced from the domestic level. Points need to be made from where there is a maximum emission of carbon dioxide. Carbon footprint means how much carbon is getting emitted and how it is impacting the environment. In urban areas, maximum people use the car to go to offices. It is a very big source of emission. Garbage also plays an important role. In villages, people use mud stoves to make food. For cooking food, dry woods are burnt. It emits a lot of gases. There are small things which, if taken care, can help to slow down the carbon dioxide in the environment.

Using electricity in
every home, be it rural or urban. Electricity should be measured, and then it
should be used. Fans, lights, systems should never be left on if not in use.
These days the gadgets which are coming have a star mark on them should be
used. There are star ratings on appliances that use a lot of electric energy to
run. If an air conditioner has five stars on it, then it uses less electrical
power to run. Therefore, it will help the environment as less coal will be
burnt for the generation of electricity. Bulbs of less watt, which generates
more brightness, should be used.
